My life is a sea of impressionistic blue. I took the least realistic stars and shucked them off til I was left with the hull, the “hull thing” if you will and then i baked, boiled, and covered that in glitter. How’s that for adventure.
If you told me I’d ultimately turn to animal prints I’d be surprised. I’d say - “yes, no. well maybe.” before contemplating a fragrant turn of events.
When the subconscious talks it turns off for no one. Speak of collages - the sea of subtle impressed images that my daily inner life is composed on, sheets of paper. Such as skin, beer, the delicate inside to the inner cheek, weed, hand gestures, and the way everything feels so soft right now. In my memory is also the specific turn of events that led to me facing in between [Redacted]’s legs, [REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED because this is kind of graphic even for a private blog.]
Sex is violent, I’ve realized. Sex and violence so often go hand in hand because there is sex in VIOLENCE in that violence is just a part of sex. So often sex is depicted as traveling from point A to point B, but it seems to me that sex is more about just draping your hands and body parts on top of other people’s bodies which how invasive is that? Though it’s actually a lot less complex and more straightforward than most anything else you can do. Form becomes function and function, form. Poetry. The essence of not having a function; but ONLY a form. “Poetry is difficult because it is a form without a function; the form IS the function,” (Lonely Christopher.) Contemplate - words on a page should be exactly that when done well. Sex with a person should be exactly that, if done well.
And speaking of doing well, and poetry, and sex, can’t we all just be “just” sometime? As in, no more distracting modifiers. Simply the clean connected lines that traverse the fragments. It’s not that you can’t say what you want, it’s that you do and in so create not with but to. In everything you try to make true. I’d advise you make new.
